The design goal for the office of a busy real estate attorney was the creation a zen-like oasis – providing the possibilities for eating, resting and reflecting in the midst of a bustling law firm. A custom-designed desk serves as the focal point for the workspace. Fabricated from tobacco-colored, stained oak veneer with a ceruse finish and hardware accents in glazed steel, the desk provides unique built-in elements allowing it to function as a machine for working and living.

The expansive u-shaped desk includes numerous custom features: accessible open file storage, a concealed hotel-style refrigerator, a pull-out trash drawer and hidden raceways to house all electrical and computer wiring. Accents in warm pomegranate red complement the tobacco tone of the desk and the tribal inspired geometry of the fabric covering the guest chairs.
